THIRD INTERMEDIATE PERIOD (1069-702 B.C.)
The fluted hoop surmounted by a lion-headed aegis wearing a sun disc, above a lotus flower, .13/16 in. (2.1 cm.) across inner hoop; a turquoise glazed composition menat or counterpoise, with lion-headed aegis wearing a disc with stylized central uraeus, below the broad collar two side uraei above a rosette roundel, suspension loop at back, 21/8 in. (5.5 cm.) high; and a green glazed composition janiform double uraei, one wearing the White Crown of Upper Egypt, the other the Red Crown of Lower Egypt, 2¼ in. (5.7 cm.) high, both Ptolemaic Period, circa 3rd-1st Century B.C., all mounted (3)
