A French silvered and gilt brass striking and repeating carriage clock with alarm, last quarter 19th century
The anglaise riche case with Corinthian columns, with silvered mask to the white enamel Roman chapter disc with Arabic five minutes, blued steel moon hands, alarm disc below, the twin barrel movement with silvered platform stamped PM BREVETÉ to the bimetallic balance with lever escapement, with circular aperture to the backplate for viewing the unusual vertical pallets, strike/repeat/alarm on gong to the backplate numbered 12933 -- 6¾in. (17cm.) high
