The elaborately carved case with shell cresting and flowerhead carved borders, a central carved roundel with motto FACTA NON VERBA, with thermometer to the trunk above and brass bezel to the silvered 10in. diameter dial below, the spirit level signed T. PRITCHARD London -- 41in. (104cm.) high
