A Regency mahogany longcase clock, first quarter 19th century
The case with stepped top hood (losses) with triangular inlays to the frieze, fan inlays to the door (detached, glass lacking, section of moulding lacking to both sides), the line inlaid trunk with short cross-banded door, on plinth with further fan corner inlays (losses to veneers), the 14in. white dial with spandrels painted with ladies emblematic of the countries of Great Britain, the white centre with subsidiary date and second rings and signed W.m Scott BEATH, brass hands, a rolling moon to the arch alternating with masonic symbols and a banner inscribed AMOR, HONOR ET JUSTITIA, pinned directly to the four pillar rack striking movement with anchor escapement -- 79½in. (202cm.) high

Lots will be available for collection following transfer to Cadogan Tate on the Friday following the sale and every weekday from 9.00 a.m. to 5.00 p.m.
PLEASE NOTE THAT THERE WILL BE NO CHARGE TO PURCHASERS WHO COLLECT THEIR LOTS WITHIN ONE WEEK OF THE SALE.
On the Thursday one week after the sale, a transfer and administration charge of £18.50 per lot will be payable and a storage charge of £3.20 per lot per day will then come into effect. These charges are payable to Cadogan Tate and are subject to VAT and an insurance surcharge.
