A Regency gilt-brass mounted ebonised bracket timepiece with calendar, first quarter 19th century
The balloon case with arched underside and waisted pediment, with handles to the sides and raised on bracket feet, with radiant mask mount to the front, the white enamel Roman dial with Arabic five minutes and crossed minute markers, inner concentric calendar ring (lacking hand), gilt hands (minute partially later), the single wire fusee movement with anchor escapement, calendar train partially lacking, the foliate engraved backplate signed Jno. De Lafons London, with Camerer Cuss repair label to the inside rear door-- 15¾in. (40cm.) high
