Lot Essay

Professor Dr Christian Lenz has authenticated this painting on the basis of a photograph and believes it to be included in the archives of the Bayerische Staatsgemälde Sammlungen. Roland Dorn and Franz Armin Morat will include this work in their forthcoming Schuch catalogue raisonné currently being prepared by the Morat-Institut für Kunst und Kunstwissenschaft.
