A Japanese gilt wood and lacquer figure of a Buddha
modelled standing on a double lotus base with one arm raised, wearing long flowing robes and jewellery on the tightly curled hair, mounted on a stepped hexagonal stand carved and decorated with geometric panels and ruyi heads -- 25¼in. (64cm.) overall high, Edo period, (chips and restoration).
