A Japanese bronze group of two monks and a tiger
the figure on the left standing holding a bowl raised in one hand and a bamboo stick in the other, the figure on the right leaning on the tiger with one arm raised, both wearing long flowing robes draped over the shoulder, on a square base with archaic symbols to the front and rear on a band of geometric ground decoration, the legs decorated with scrolling motifs -- 13¼in. (33.5cm.) high, 19/20th Century, (old damages).
