A GEORGE III MAHOGANY WRITING-TABLE
The rectangular moulded top above a frieze drawer lined with original 18th Century red paper, with shaped angle brackets and on chamferred legs, with paper label 'CLUMBER' preceded by a ducal coronet and 'N. 5273'

Lot Essay

Clumber was designed and built by Stephen Wright (d.1780), who worked for the 2nd Duke at Clumber from 1768-1778, however, it was razed in 1938.
