A PAIR OF LATE LOUIS XV ORMOLU-MOUNTED CHINESE IRON-RED PORCELAIN POT-POURRI VASES AND COVERS
Circa 1770, the porcelain 18th Century
The baluster shaped bodies and domed lids decorated with stylized shrubs and flowers on an iron-red ground, the domed lid with berried foliate finial and acanthus clasp above a gadrooned rim and pierced entrelac pounced frieze, flanked by fluted voluted scrolls with pounced panels and pendant triglyphs, the circular reeded, pounced base above a domed and gadrooned finial, on patera-headed and husk-trailed tapering block feet
