cover 1808-36 entires/entire letters (7) mainly from the U.K. and showing "SHIP·LETTER/CALCUTTA/BG PTGE" (HG SR3) or "SHIP·LETTER/CALCUTTA/BG PG" (HG SR5) c.d.s. in red, all applied on reverse with three across the join; two covers damaged, fair to fine strikes. Also print of Garden House Reach, the usual mooring spot for ships that were able to get up to Calcutta, when the tide was high
