Lot Essay

Hawaiian Memories by Jessie Arms Botke was commissioned by Katherine H. Haley to hang in a prominent space in the living room at Rancho Mi Solar. The work is a bold mosaic of birds, flowers and tropical greenery with an atmospheric landscape in the far distance. Botke's unique use of gold leaf and her careful, accurate renderings of a variety of species of birds create a magnificent composition.
