Early to mid 20th century stainless steel bit, the "S" shaped cheekpieces adorned with a single central concha overlaid with a gold horsehead figure, fully overlaid and engraved with a foliate motif, hallmarked Bohlinmade Hollywood Calif, the lip bar inscribed with the name Tom Mix. It is possible that Mrs. Haley purchased this bit from Edward Borein's Estate, and that Tom Mix gave this bit to Borein
