With massive browned barrels of decorative etched twist pattern signed 'Wm. & Jno. Rigby Dublin' in Gothic script on the rib, case-hardened breeches each with two platinum lines and pierced platinum plug, long tang densely engraved with scrolls on a hatched ground, case-hardened serial numbered detented locks finely engraved with scrollwork, signed 'John Rigby & Co.' in Gothic script, and each fitted with safety-catch in front of the hammer, the inner side with stamped signature 'J. Stanton', figured walnut half-stock (some bruising), chequered grip and fore-end, scroll engraved iron mounts (minor pitting), the trigger-guard finial extending to form the ramrod tail-pipe, iron sling mounts, and original brass-mounted ramrod
