With blued polygonal turn-off barrels each cut with eight grooves and each with two bands of engraved decoration, and a punched gold-inlaid band at the muzzle, gold-lined pans, border engraved actions signed within gold ovals and inlaid with gold martial trophies, and a gold band of chevron ornament at the front of the breech, rollers, blued steel-springs, triggers and thumbpiece safety-catches also locking the steels, gold-inlaid top jaws, flat-sided figured walnut butts, and silver escutcheons each with gold centre
