Shaped oblong, the tapering nephrite blade with gold scroll and trellis mount, with bud finial set with a moonstone, marked on mount, in original fitted box, the cover stamped in Russian 'Fabergé St. Petersburg Moscow Odessa' with Imperial warrant

Lot Essay

The above letter opener was purchased by the Dowager Empress Maria Feodorovna (mother of Tsar Nicholas II) for 70 roubles on 11th February 1904.
