Oval, the base and sides with dark blue foliate enamel panels within borders of white enamel palmettes, the cover with a blue enamel plaque of a male bust surrounded by chased gold foliage on a matted ground within a border of white enamel palmettes, the interior of cover with a later inscription, marked inside of base
