A VERY UNUSUAL PAIR OF GOLD AND DIAMOND WEDDING SLIPPERS
Imitating the embroidered tongkang (boat-shaped) wedding slipper but completely constructed from gold, overlaid throughout with gold scales, each centering on an abstract dragon in the front, enhanced with numerous rose-cut diamonds, the soles set throughout with gold cylindrical supports, (two diamonds deficient) circa 1950, probably commissioned for a wedding in the Oei family, 23.5 cm. long, gross weight 1092 grams
