The emaciated figure is finely modelled seated, his chin resting on both hands supported by his raised right knee, his face with eyes downcast below furrowed brows giving a pensive expression, the top of his shaven head with a usnisa, the remaining part of his hair, moustache and beard combed in ringlettes, sparsely clad with a robe over one shoulder to reveal the exposed skeletal torso, arms and legs
