Now lying London S.E.1
Château Latour--Vintage 1970
Pauillac, 1er cru classé. Château-bottled
Levels: three very-top, five top and four upper-top shoulder
Tasting note: A great Latour. Deep black core. Already to give it's all. Massive and powerful on the palate. Tannic and structued but less austere than other vintages of Latour due to the sheer concentration of the fruit and the weight of the glycerol. Expansive and complex with great length. Still an infant-might take ten years to show its best.
