A French tulipwood, crossbanded and chequer-inlaid rectangular commode, 19th century
in the Louis XVI style, with canted angles surmounted by a later moulded grey veined white marble top, containing three long drawers, veneered a quatre faces, between simulated fluted canted angles and pannelled with similar veneered sides, on square tapering legs terminating in brass sabots -- 44.1in. (113cm.) wide, 33¼in. (83.5cm.) high
