22 April 1789: "Left Coadwar gaut abt 1/2 af 6 and marched to Juganor- The Scenes the whole way of the most romantic kind- impassable for any animals ....Jugeanor is a small irregular place; the zemindar, or chief landholder of the neighbourhood, like the village squires of other countries is lodged more sumptuously than his inferiors" (2)
