The first rectangular of partial oval section, with sprung-hinged cover and match compartment, chased and engraved with scroll and geometric motifs at either end on waved ground, the shaped sliding catch-band similarly engraved with scrolls and cartouches, marked inside base and covers; the second tapering lozenge, the hinged covers engraved with wave ground with wave terminal bands, marked inside covers, both with gilt interiors
