Lot Essay

In his later years (1920s-1930s) Jensen did not work closely with his silversmithy anymore and mainly produced items for friends in his basement workshop. The present and following lot are among the earliest known examples of this period.

We are grateful to Mr. Michael von Essen of the Georg Jensen Museum in Copenhagen for his help in cataloguing this lot.
