GEORGE JOHN BONNER, "Australian Cricket", 1884, by 'Ape', Cricketers of Vanity fair p.32

Bonnor was 6 feet 6 inches tall, 16 stone in weight, known as either 'The Australian Giant", or "The Australian Hercules", a hitter of extraordinary power. During the first Test in England at the Oval in 1880 he hit a ball to such a tremendous height that the batsman had turned for the third run when Fred Grace caught it.
