Tasting note: 1976 Lafite clearly stands far above the crowd in this vintage. A beautiful bouquet of seductive cedar wood, spices and ripe fruit precedes a very concentrated, darkly coloured wine, with great length and texture. It is gorgeous to drink at present. 93 points (R.P. 1998)
