Absolutely spectacular, this must be one of the most underrated wines of the vintage. Still young and unevolved, this massive and sensationally concentrated, full-bodied wine offers layers of pure blackcurrant fruit that comes across as grapy because of its intensity and youthfulness. it is a thrill to drink even though the wine is still extremely young and only hints at the possibilites that exist with another 5-10 years of cellaring. 95 points (R.P. 1998)
