A RUBY-SET VANITY CASE, BY BOUCHERON
Of rectangular outline, the cover designed as a cut-out and engraved floral and foliate motif, with cabochon ruby detail, above a mirrored background, to the ribbed sides and thumbpiece, opening to reveal a powder compartment, lipstick holder, comb, smaller compartment, cigarette filter and cigarette compartment (accompanied by white leather, white grosgrain and black suede covers), circa 1945, 13.0 x 8.5 x 2.0 cm., with French assay marks, in its original Boucheron lavender grosgrain fitted case
