Maker's mark CPY? in mongram, maker's mark crossed swords with the figure 2 above, 19th century
The gourd-shaped body on spreading spool-shaped foot and with baluster stem, the detachable domed cover with Venus and Cupid finial, the base and cover chased with oval medallions of putti riding hippocamps, chased between with foliate scrolls, the body chased with the figures of gods and goddesses including Mercury, Diana, Jupiter, Ceres and others, chased between with a hare, squirrel, monkey, winged demi female figures, scrolls and foliage all on a matted ground, marked on base, rim and cover
