A GROUP OF FIVE NEPHRITE CARVINGS

All carved from material of celadon tone, comprising a nephrite pendant carved as a mandarin duck grasping a lotus flower in its beak, 5.8 cm. wide; a jade fitting well carved as a crouching mythical beast, the reverse with apertures for attchment, 6.4 cm. wide; an oval plaque, lightly carved with a mythical beast on each side, 4.9 cm.; a Buddhistic wheel, pierced and carved with a central rotating floret and yinyang symbol, framed by bagua and scroll borders, 5.6 cm. diam.; and a small carving of two interlocking boys, holding a lotus spray and ruyi sceptre, 3.5 cm.
