A FLEMISH VERDURE TAPESTRY
Late 16th/early 17th Century
Woven in wools and silks, depicting a dense forest landscape, the borders with auricular and strapwork cartouche decorated with landscapes and winged flaming torcheres, divided by flower bouquets, reduced in height, areas of reweaving, specially to the borders, bottom left had corners rewoven
10 ft. 7 in. (323 cm.) high; 9 ft. 7½ in. (293 cm.) wide
