The alabaster-veneered rounded rectangular top above a pierced waved frieze centered by a scallop shell and carved with C-scrolls and foliage, the sides carved conformingly, on cabriole legs headed by a shell and carved with foliage and gadrooning, joined by a waved foliate-wrapped x-shaped stretcher with a central panelled and shell-carved platform, on toupie feet, redecorated, the lower part of the frieze carving later, the alabaster probably 18th Century and veneered on a later core
