A FINE SATSUMA KORO [INCENSE BURNER]
Signed Kinkozan zo, Meiji period (late 19th century)
Of ovoid form raised on three feet and finely decorated in various coloured enamels and gilt with three panels separated by brocade pattern and depicting warriors, karako and bijin, and a scene from a chapter of Genji Monogatari, the cover pierced in the shape of chrysanthemum petals and finial modelled as the stem and two leaves, signed on the base in iron red Kinkozan zo and with three old labels
