A SATSUMA KORO [INCENSE BURNER]
Signed Satsuma-yaki Yukiyama and sealed, Meiji period (Late 19th century)
Decorated in various coloured enamels and gilt with two panels depicting blossoming cherry trees and a ho-o bird spreading its wings in flight, the tripod feet, shoulder and handles with floral patterns, the pierced covered similarly decorated and surmounted with finial modelled as a shishi, signed on the base in gilt Satsuma-yaki Yukiyama below a Shimazu mon in blue enamel
