A fine ship's binnacle compass by Kelvin & Hughes
the 6½in. dia translucent signed card set within heavy brass liquid filled bowl signed and further stamped No.L.S.1941 Type No.77935 gimball mounted in a polished brass basin, the glzed hood with hinged port guard and right fitted lamp housing, Kelvin correction balls, mounted atop a brass edged square mahogany pillar with makers plates and numbers and internal magnet chamber with magnetic rods in chained brass container and securing slide, all on square base for deck fixing; together with an Admiralty Compass Observatory test certificate dated 1970 -- 49in. (124.5cm.)
