Lot Essay

A similar viewer was sold Travel & Exploration, 18 April 2000, lot 224 containing fifty-three slides; and in Cameras, Optical Toys & Early Cinema, 23 November 1995, lot 74, containing a variety of film subjects. This viewer shows stills apparently from a film taken during the Shackleton-Rowett Expedition, 1921-1922 (S.S. Quest RYS).
