Lot Essay
During the late 1960's one of Picasso's recurrent themes were scenes of artist and his model as well as lovers. Some of the sheets used during this period were drawn recto and verso. Several of these double-sided drawings were carefully divided into two separate sheets. The present work (illustrated as no. 286 in Zervos, vol. 27, p. 114) is in fact the verso of Zervos, no. 276.
