and A letter by the artist dated 15-I-'46, referring to the symbolic content of Encounter as suggested in writing by the buyer, glued into The book M.C. Escher, Grafiek en tekeningen, Zwolle, 1960, and Duiveltjes, The vignet (B. 370), woodengraving 1950, most likely cut out of an invitation card, also glued into the book, these generally in very good condition
