A head and shoulders portrait photograph of Winston Churchill by Walter Stoneman of J. Russell & Sons, London, the mount signed 'Winston S. Churchill' in ink, image 100 x 82mm. (blooming to image, mount slightly damaged), with a smaller photograph depicting Winston Churchill amongst cheering troops and another of his staff car, all in an oblong quarto album containing approximately forty-five other photographs of British wartime troops and the scenery of Cairo and North Africa, ownership inscription of 'T/70237 Driver Peter Jack. RASC.'.

Lot Essay
This album belonged to Peter Jack, who acted as Winston Churchill's driver on his trip abroad. He was a member of the Royal Army Service Corps whose primary role was the organisation of transportation.
