A gilt-copper inlaid censer and cover
18th Century
the rounded body with twin mythical beast-head handles issuing ruyi-sprays, the cover with an openwork finial decorated with bats amongst cloud scrolls above a reticulated floral band, the body decorated with scrolling flowerheads between bands of ruyi-heads, petals and T-shaped motifs on an irregular shaped filigree ground, inlaid in coral, lapis and turquoise -- 61/8in. (15.5cm.) high, (damages and minor losses to decoration).
