A rectangular huang huali box and hinged cover
late 17th Century
decorated in stained ivory, hardstone and mother of pearl, with a central cartouche with a mythical beast standing on a rocky ledge before pine and among cloud scrolls, within stylised scrolling flowerheads, the sides decorated with leafy flowering branches, a covered tripod censer and a flower vase, brass mounts and twin C-shaped handles -- 145/8in. (37.2cm.) wide.
