A carved stone frieze
Possibly Sui Dynasty
of rounded triangular shape, carved with a central standing figure on a large tortoise, flanked by six attendants with a large duck and a mythical dragon before them, the reverse incised with lines of calligraphy -- 10¼in. (26cm.) high, (old wear).
