DIANE KEATON DRESS AND HAT FROM "THE GODFATHER, PART I"

A long dress with a white squared collar, an empire waist, short puffy sleeves and a matching self-belt made of orange cotton printed with white hearts that Diane Keaton wore during the wedding scene at the beginning of the film. Consigned by Arthur Gerold, owner of the Brooks Van Horn & Son Theatrical Costume Company which was commissioned to make all the costumes by the film's designer, Anna Hill Johnstone, this piece has a label that reads Brooks-Van Horn New York Phildelphia Costumes Diane Keaton "Kay." An oversized straw hat with a ribbon around the crown that Keaton wore with the dress is also included.
