Edo Period (Late 17th/18th Century)
Two dishes painted similarly with a small central roundel enclosing a flower basket with wisteria, surrounded by three similar flower baskets amidst bamboo and plum blossom to the well, below a band of karakusa and flower-heads to the rim, one with rim crack, 25.1 and 28.3 cm. diam.; and a dish with a flower basket with peony and cherry blossom to the centre, surrounded by four shaped panels enclosing alternately peony, chrysanthemum, pomegranate and plum blossom, reserved on a washed blue ground, rim chip and rim crack, 30.5 cm. diam.
