An Imari teapot and cover, a tripod bowl and cover and a Kakiemon-style saucer
Edo Period (Late 17th and 18th Century)
The bowed, quadrangular sides of the teapot painted with chrysanthemum, repeated to the cover with knop finial, restored, 8.7 cm. high; the tripod bowl raised on lion-mask feet and painted with shaped panels enclosing chrysanthemum or lotus, a peony to the centre, repeated to the cover, rim cracks to cover, gilding rubbed, 8.7 cm. high; the foliate-rimmed saucer painted to the centre with two figures under a parasol in a garden, surrounded by bamboo and cherry issuing from rockwork, 15 cm. diam.
