A giltwood figure of Jizo Bosatsu
Edo Period (18th/19th Century)
Seated in vajrasana on a lotus throne resting on a shishi, holding the tama jewel in his open left hand, a stylised lotus finial in his right hand, dressed in a losely falling robe revealing his chest with bronze necklace, the boldly shaven head with long earlobes, a solemn expression on his face with glass urna, some cracks and small restorations, mandorla missing
