CROCKER & STARR
Crocker & Starr is a partnership between a historical vineyard site and a winemaker focused on making distinctive wines. The Crocker Family Vineyard, where grapes have been grown since the 1870's, produces Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Cabernet Franc. Pamela Starr, a winemaker for the past 16 years for wineries such as Spottswoode, interpretes the terroir and crafts these wines to represent a legacy of vineyard as flavor of wine. Their 1997 "Stoneplace Cuvée" is a Right Bank Bordeaux blend of 70 Merlot and 30 Cabernet Franc while their Cabernet Franc is 80 Cabernet Franc and 20 Cabernet Sauvignon. 1996 was their first vintage. Very small quantities are produced.
