A Chamberlain's Worcester crested plate
painted and gilt with the Prince of Wales feathers and a blue banner gilt with the motto ICH DIEN, within a gilt roundel, the gilt border reserved with a continuous band of trophies between a lion and unicorn and leafy branches including oak, painted mark, early 19th century (some surface scratches and rubbing to gilding) -- 24cm. diam.

Lot Essay

The above lot was perhaps made as a sample plate for the Prince of Wales before his visit to the factory in 1807.
