A Meissen figure of Dottore Boloardo
modelled by J.J. Kaendler and Peter Reinicke, from the Commedia Dell'Arte series, wearing a hat and mask, with a yellow and lilac cloak over a flowered jacket and green breeches, standing with his left hand raised and his right hand on his hip, on an oval base applied with flowers and leaves, faint blue crossed swords mark to base, circa 1745, some of the decoration later (raised hand replaced, and hairline crack to base, other small typical chips to flowers and leaves) -- 14cm. high
