A fine Emile Jumeau A mould Bébé
with pressed bisque head, closed mouth, brown yeux fibres, shaded brows, pierced applied ears, blonde mohair wig over cork pate and fixed-wrist jointed wood and papier mâché body, dressed in cream net lace-trimmed frock, bonnet trimmed in eau de nil silk, socks and leather shoes with silk rosettes -- 25½in. (65cm.) high, circa 1880, impressed A 10, body stamped Jumeau Medaille d'Or, shoes marked Louvre Bébé (firing flaw on inside of head behind right eye has factory fill, tiny wig pull on forehead, slight mark in bisque by chin, black spot above right eye, eyes reset)
